More Than a Wash: The Art of Decontamination
After a meticulous hand washing, you might think your car is clean. But run your hand along the paint; does it feel perfectly smooth? Often, it won't. That gritty feeling comes from bonded contaminants—tiny particles of industrial fallout, rail dust, and tar—that have embedded themselves in your clear coat. Our decontamination process is designed to safely remove them.
First, we use a chemical iron remover that dissolves ferrous particles, often seen as a purple "bleeding" effect. Then, we use a professional-grade clay bar with a lubricant to glide across the paint, gently pulling out the remaining embedded grit. This step is absolutely essential before any polishing or waxing, as it prevents these abrasive particles from being dragged across the paint, creating more scratches. It is a cornerstone of a true full body wash and prepares the paint surface for a perfect bond with a wax, sealant, or ceramic coating.
